More of Life With Boys

Life with three boys is never dull.

Even when they are just hanging around

You may remember this rope from Pants Pulley!

they can't sit still or keep their feet on the ground.

I found about 10 of these shots on my camera from Sam flipping around the house!

They always seem to be getting into something

It was January when the leaves finally fell off our tree. It has already started to bloom again!

or breaking something else.

This happened just as we were on our way to choir on Sunday. Brandon now eats dinner kneeling at the table. At least he's not tipping his chair anymore!

Their fashion sense would vastly improve if the didn't use their clothing for science experiments

While cleaning with a spray that contains bleach:
Brandon: Dad, what will happen if I get this on my clothes?
Chris (Dad): They'll turn white.
Brandon smiles devilishly.
The next morning:
Chris: Brandon, did you spray your shorts with bleach?
Brandon: No! Why do always think it was me?!
I almost made him wear them to school as a consequence, but he thought that would be cool so I changed my mind .

or bicycle brakes.

Matthew convinced Sam to remove his training wheels. He's been able to ride for quite awhile so, no big deal...except it would be nice if he'd learn to peddle-back for brakes instead of dragging his right foot!

The words "beauty regimen" must translate differently to the male brain.

I have no idea why he is laying there with lettuce on his eyes. This was another gem I found on my camera.

Which is why they choose to add color with bruises instead of make-up.

A large group game at the last Cub Scout Pack Meeting resulted in a nasty black eye after Matthew hit his head on the gym floor.

Or remove pieces of teeth instead of simply brushing them.

Brandon chipped his front two teeth when he fell off his skateboard. The dentist noticed the one picture just to the left was also chipped. Brandon lazily explained, "Oh, that's from when Sam threw a rock at me." We are one CLASSY family.

But I can sleep at night knowing they are TRYING their best {to the point of exhaustion!}

Sam fell asleep working on his New Year's resolution: to read the New Testament.

to Choose The Right!

The same night I found Sam sleeping on his scriptures, Matthew had fallen asleep wearing his CTR ring.

I loved the pics. How crazy life can be. But, you know you are doing your best as a mom when they fall asleep on their scriptures. Hopefully the good word will seep through their skin. :)

You guys have such an exciting life, I don't remember ours being that exciting when you were their ages! I'm so happy I can still get to be right there with you guys via the internet. How could I ever think I could live without their antics?

I can vouch that life with boys is never boring! But they give us those moments that sustain us through all the craziness. Like falling asleep reading scriptures or having a testimony that they are loved by their Heavenly Father! It's awesome!
