Guess what I received in the mail today? I received the response to my entry, Grafted In, for the Eighth International Art Competition!
"Dear Kristal,
Thank you for entering the Eighth International Art Competition. We are pleased to inform you that your artwork has passed the first round."
I now have until January 24th to ship the piece to the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City for the final round of judging.

That is so awesome! I am so impressed. Jared is really into art...any recommendations on how to nurture that talent? I can barely draw a stick figure so it's not going to come from me!!!!
We moved to WA from AZ last January; last Christmas was SO hard because I grew up in Chicago area and then moved to Alaska so Christmas without ANY snow or at least cold was foreign to me. I am so excited to have snow now! I just hope we have some come Christmas time.
