21 Day Challenge - Day 21

1. My goal was to MOVE DAILY. Though most days did include a workout of some sort, I did not exercise every day. I think I missed two days. Pretty darn good, but without the 21 consecutive days . . . w e l l . . . I can tell that I will continue to struggle with motivating myself and being more disciplined. But we are extending our family pass to the Rec Center and I will keep working on my goals.

2. My goal was to GET A NEW GO-TO FOOD. I have not eaten a Reese's peanut butter cup in 21 days! I did have more candy than I would like to admit to while at camp, but you know what? I'm OK with that. I don't have this overwhelming drive to always have candy on hand. My new go-to food? If it's just a snack or pick-me-up I need it's the SmartOnes eclairs or a piece of toast with a smidgen of peanut butter and honey. If I'm craving that sweet Reese's peanut butter and I haven't eaten breakfast or lunch yet, it's the Kailua Monkey!

3. My goal was to get a handle on PORTION CONTROL. I have stuck to this 100% - at restaurants, at camp, at parties, and at home! It just feels natural now to keep the helpings with my little 9 inch circle {single-tiered!}, whether I'm using my plates at home or not. However, success breeds over-confidence; I will continue to be mindful of this issue so I don't gradually creep back up to restaurant platter meal sizes.

How did you do on your goals? Did you meet your 21 Day Challenge?

* * *
For those of you tired of reading about my weight loss efforts {yes, I do have a life otherwise!} - good news! Now that the Challenge is over I will no longer be posting my efforts daily here. I have added a weight loss ticker on my side bar, though, so you can keep cheering me on. I do so like that!

For those of you who have developed a new habit of checking in on me from 21 straight days of blog-stalking - good news! You can still follow along with me {or better yet, JOIN ME!} HERE.

There is no special reason just yet. But we are hoping there will be one soon and we figure we should try to be prepared ahead of time because it would be easier to do it now instead of when Im huge and pregnant. You know?

Ok, so where did you find your 9 inch plate, and what does it look like? lol I think I need a picture of it. Talk to me about how you got a handle on your portion controls - I think that's my biggest issue!

I bought the plates at ....duh, duh, duh, duh .... Wal-Mart! And they are the beige/tan ones for about $1 or $1.50 each.

I got a handle on it by doing it eceryday and knowing that if I didn't I would have to report it to you all. My fear of shame was motivation enough, I guess :D
