Blowout of Blessings

"So amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged; God is over all.
Count your many blessings; angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end ..."

I am blessed to live in Arizona where, even when your hot water is shut off because you had to extend your time out of town for a funeral when the bill was due, the water is still pretty warm. Thank you, hot desert.

I am blessed that we had a good car to drive for the previously mentioned trip - that there were no incidents until I was on my way home from work the next day:

I am blessed that I ran over a nail right before a very convenient exit, and NOT while driving the 16 miles through the Reservation.

I am blessed that I forgot to give Chris' phone back after our trip and that it was still in my purse.

I am blessed that I had my Visiting Teaching list in there also, with the phone number of a ward member who was willing to pack up his children and drive to the church where Chris was and tell him I needed his help. Thank you, Brother Huffaker.

I am blessed to know how to change a tire. Thank you, Drivers' Ed.

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who insists on coming to my rescue anyway!

I am blessed to be crazy enough to be training at such unearthly hours of the morning to need a headlamp to run with AND that I had it in the car. {And isn't it cute on my husband?}

I am blessed that my son ate my dinner that night because, though I was quite hungry, I really didn't need those calories anyway and he is a growing boy. Thank you, you pig. {And that's said with much motherly love. Sort of :D}

I am blessed that the following morning I ran out of gas just before arriving at work, and NOT on the freeway, and that all I needed was a small push down the hill. Thank you, young man on the bike. {No thanks to Exxon/Mobil who sold all their valley stations overnight to Circle K, causing me to run out of gas looking for one to use my gas card at!}

I am blessed to have a patient mother, husband, and friend to talk to so I can see how blessed I really am! Thank you, Mom, Chris, and Lisa!

What a great post! That's great that you know how to change a tire. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know how!!

It sounds like you have been very blessed! We've seen a lot of those blessings through tough times as well.
