I've Been...Well...Busy.

Some thoughts on being busy:

Busy souls have no time to be busybodies.
-Unknown

Enough said. It's not that I don't care what you ate for lunch (and I don't) - I just haven't been able to log in and catch up on everyone's daily minutia for awhile. I'm not really a huge fan of Facebook, anyway, except that I have been able to reconnect with so many people. But I could do without the Flair, Pokes, and Polls!

Whoever admits that he is too busy to improve his methods has acknowledged himself to be at the end of his rope. And that is always the saddest predicament which anyone can get into.

-J. Ogden Armour

Anyone want to get me an extension on that rope? Or at least come over and do some laundry? No? Alright, I guess it's time to change some things around here!

It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?.

-Henry David Thoreau

I really have taken pictures. I just need to find time to upload, edit, and post them. Some things coming soon: Pinewood Derby, funny cars, Elizabeth's birthday, baseball, art festival, new painting, dishwasher debacle, whatever else I forgot that is taking up space on my memory card.

A really busy person never knows how much he weighs.

-Ed Howe

Oh yeah?! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that Ed is not short for Edwina. Yep, I know the number. And that's why I've been getting even less sleep so I can run before getting the kids up for school and heading off to work. Hopefully St. George will save a place for me this year!

The busy have no time for tears.

-Lord Byron

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Elizabeth has a new bruise on her chin and no one knows how she got it. {sigh, working mother guilt} But on the other hand, those morning running sessions are much better for letting out anxiety and stress than letting my mascara run as I listen to country music in the car downing a chocolate shake. Much better.

We're so busy watching out for what's just ahead of us that we don't take time to enjoy where we are.

-Calvin & Hobbes

How lucky I am that my busy schedule has me driving home at this time of day. Not only allowing me to enjoy the beauty of desert sunsets, but also bringing me home to a family sitting around the dinner table waiting for my return.

Busy is blessed.
